I just saw this on MSNBC. They were saying he could have crossed the line. Why was this guy invited? He looked like an ass.

What I read was that when someone like Leno does it he lampoons both the press and the President along with some of Congress (the later if memory serves me). Apparently there were a few mild stings but some good natured levity too. If that is true, this one was different and I could see why the President would give him the cold stare when Colbert left the stage.

I wonder what happens to whatever guy in the administration came up with the idea to book Colbert.
