FWIW: i live in florida (top-teir state in relation to price, quality, and availability) $50 is the average price for an 1/8th here. this amount has remained unchanged for almost 15yrs now. edit: this is for the "fire" or the "kind" or "crippie". basically whatever has the highest THC/CDB content.

I would say just ask honestly but quietly and they will know. The part that tells you if it is "good" or not is twofold:
a) how leafy is it as opposed to how much budding there is going on. b) how much THC(sugary looking stuff) is on it. If it looks like it has been dipped in sugar that is a great sign.

[/ QUOTE ] the best way to judge quality is thru experience, but since u have none, the easiest thing to do is look for "crystals" on the nugs. make sure the nugs aren't wet or moldy. an 1/8 will usually cover the bottom of the bag by about 2 fingers if its cured properly, but obv this will depend on the density of the nugs. smell is usally a good indicator of taste (good or bad) and there is no definitive way to tell anything without smoking it. i have seen beautiful stuff that borders on fake, and ugly garbage that puts u on yer arse after 2 hits. with each bag u buy, u will learn new things. enjoy ur journey. hope that helps.
