They might even be right, but I m 100% sure things will change in the not so distant future as online players get some more experience playing deepstacked and live. If not for any other reason than the player pool online is vast compared to live. And the adjustment to live play from online isnt THAT hard to make, it doesnt take years. I have crushed live NL (from 2/5 to 25/50) from day 1 (not that is very relevant as the discussion was about higher and against top players). Although I m sure there are some top online players that cant make it for some reason or another.

I don't see a problem here...full ring live vs shorthanded online are different worlds. I'm sure some online guys could adjust, whether they'd want to or not is another story, but what Kenny and PA said is really not debatable until then.

Everyone who's still posting arguments instead of silly comments making fun of DSklansky or funny photoshops: what has changed since the last thread about this? So PA has an opinion now. That really doesn't change the merits of the arguments here so why are we regurgitating the same stuff from the last thread? This thread should honestly have just been a 1-post update thread for people to notice and then locked.

Amazing, I thought 2p2ers could tolerate differing opinions. Have to adjust my beliefs I guess.

I jsut dont get the purpose of this thread.

How would there be any way to prove Sklansky/PA/Kenny Tran wrong?

Here we have guys who are only used to playing megadeep with weak players in a live environment, who arguably have played less hands in their entire life as CTS has played in like 2 months.

So here is my version of calling David out: As the face of poker theory, what makes you think 2000 or so hands in a live poker environment for an online player is going to change anything? What are you hoping to get out of this?

It just seems so very dumb that this much attention has spawned over live poker. Once again I think Brandon Adams has everything just about spot on, and David Sklansky has only served to generate gossip and traffic.

The biggest live games are mixed games while the best online players are specialist in SHNL players. It's also x times easier to pull the trigger on a big bluff online and x times easier to call a bluff live. I'm sure when mixed games become a staple online the best online players will probably be better live too.
