[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] and I don't even have a problem getting girls...it just sucks [/ QUOTE ] i feel you, i'm 5'6. shorties unite [/ QUOTE ] 6'0 instead of 5'6 = one point? [/ QUOTE ] at the most, maybe less. what do the ladies think about this? i don't think there are many people who would become significantly hotter if they were taller, assuming that body type and proportions stay the same, but obv if i'm 6'0 instead of 5'6 (or average height) i'm going to look better. i just wouldn't pay for it b/c i think the effect is marginal regarding how hot someone is, but again i wonder what women think. |

Re: How much would you spend..
I don't believe it is that marginal. From the girls I know other than not being fat and out of shape being tall is the second most important physical criteria.
Girls generally will prefer guys be taller than them. |

[/ QUOTE ] do you think it's worth more than a point? also, what about facial features? [ QUOTE ] Girls generally will prefer guys be taller than them. [/ QUOTE ] true, i don't think anyone is debating this. edit: i say marginal b/c it is not going to overcome being ugly or being fat/having a bad body, where as a nice face and/or a muscular/athletic build can compensate for height. obv all things equal, taller is better |

do you think it's worth more than a point? also, what about facial features? [/ QUOTE ] It depends. I think going from 5'11" to 6'1" would get me 1/2 a point. But below 5'9" I say at least a full point and probably 1.5 points. Mind you I like tall girls so they will value height more than average. Looking at it with points though doesn't give a true reflection of the value. Male attractiveness is bimodal with peaks at 3 and 7. So going from a 7 to an 8 is a massive improvement. If you look it as a matter of percentile rank you've jumped a lot for that 1 point. |

Re: How much would you spend..
Henry, 5'11" is fine. There isn't much more benefit to being 6'1" over 5'11" imo. Just bulk up a bit and you'll look bigger. A fit 5'11" > lanky 6'1" imo.
I'm 6'0" fwiw. I don't think growing an inch or shrinking an inch would change me too much either way. 6'1" is probably an ideal height, though. Maybe 6'1.5". Outside of professional sports, the benefit of being >6'2" isn't worth the pain of trying to fit into small spaces and bending over at gas pumps and counters and whatnot. I was 5'0" at age 14 and 5'10" by 16. I was thanking my lucky stars that I grew because I thought I was always going to be a little runt. |

[/ QUOTE ] I workout everyday and just to be on the safe side pump myself full of supplements that probably do very little. [ QUOTE ] solid point. link about the bimodal stats? [/ QUOTE ] I don't have a link. It is just an observation. Most guys who are in shape and put effort into their appearance can get to 7. You really have to not try or be disfigured in some way to get below 6 [ QUOTE ] being taller would certainly benefit me more than you. you're not exactly short, so how tall are we talking (females)? [/ QUOTE ] Heels add a a couple of inches. I've dated a few girls that were taller than me with in heels. Current Gf is 5'7" which works out great. Problem is 80% of my friends are over 6 feet. Best friend is 6'3"-6'4". I also hang out at a bar where the local NHL team drinks so for my environment I feel short. |
