I understand, but what flavor would you use to describe it, if you had to? [/ QUOTE ] Carmel |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] its all in your head, guinness draught actually is pretty comparable to bud light as far as cals/carbs and alcohol content. [/ QUOTE ] It's not the calories, it's the thickness. I haven't had one in a while, but seems like it would be slamming a milkshake. [/ QUOTE ] Since Guinness uses beer gas for carbonation, not straight CO2, its definitely not all in his head. Very different mouthfeel. [/ QUOTE ] ya, but mouthfeel and actually being a thick beer imo are different though. A thick beer imo is somthing like boddingtons, where guiness while its dark, doesnt sit in my belly and weigh me down, so chugging it may be harder than budlight, but the after affects are no diff. This may be all in my head, idunno. |

Re: We don\'t have Dr. Pepper, but we have Root Beer
I've never had Dr. Pepper confused with Wild Cherry Pepsi, but back when I drank Mt Dew by the gallon I would frequently ask for it only to be confronted with "We don't have Mt Dew, but we do have Sierra Mist" ... bleck.

Re: We don\'t have Dr. Pepper, but we have Root Beer
I see Dids' point. I can "pound" Guinness just fine, but "slamming" one isn't so easy, if I have my beer drinking verbiage correct.

Re: We don\'t have Dr. Pepper, but we have Root Beer
It annoys me when I want Coca Cola, and they ask if Pepsi is okay. No, it's not fine, but I'll take it anyway.

Re: We don\'t have Dr. Pepper, but we have Root Beer
We were at a Denny's one time and my buddy asked for a Dr Pepper. The waitress said "Sorry we don't have any Dr. Pepper, but we do have Root Beer." Another buddy says "Yeah Travis get a Root Beer because those are the same thing." We all started laughing and our waitress was not very happy.
