I pay about $850 to live in a studio on NW Connecticut Ave. Like most other people have said, you'll need roommates if you want something cheaper.

So is this sh1t happening Friday? Asofel, make it happen. Even Tyler Durden has said he will leave Virginia for this. Unprecedented!

Where are we headed?

I work in fairfax, but I really don't want to drive out anywhere where I'm drinking.

So, metro-accessible would be a good idea for any place we pick.

I'll IM asofel right now and see what's up

I live in DC now, did two summers there in college. It is teh pwn if you do it right.

Best places to live:

1) And it's not close, Georgetown Law Housing. The Gewircz Student Center is at 2nd and F, NW (i.e. not in Georgetown). Two bedroom apartments in a nice building, about 2x the price of GW Housing but far superior accomodations, much closer to the Hill, etc. These fill up fast though and may already be full.

2) Get a house in Georgetown with a bunch of other people. Huge potential to be very fun. Not expensive if you split the cost a bunch of ways. Downside is the Gtown is deceptively inaccessible to everything else in DC. Metro is 12+ blocks away, bleh.

3) GW Housing. Cheap, dorm rooms, 2 people, 1 bedroom, meh. Very near the metro, lots of college-aged people around. This is what most people do.

4) Do NOT live in Arlington if you're an intern. The commute will suck, unless of course you're not working on the Hill/downtown/whatever. If you're working in Rosslyn, this could work, but I'd still not recommend it. It's also not very much cheaper to live close to the metro in CourtHouse/Clarendon/Ballston than in DC.

A 15 minutes commute sucks? But yet you suggest living in GT where it will take at least 15 minutes to walk to a metro. In most cases, commuting from Arlington to the Hill will take less then a commute from GT to the Hill.
