[ QUOTE ]
By the way, I usually smuggle a handle of Jack Daniel's onto the course and either also smuggle soda too or just buy it from you. Don't take it personally. I don't feel like paying $6 for a goddamned Jack & Diet Coke. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] But if I tell them "no thanks" then I feel like a cheap bastard. Annoying. [/ QUOTE ] Feel like a cheap bastard? Fluff, you're sure you get tips right? [/ QUOTE ] Honestly, I'm not :/ and she didn't ask if I was 21 when she was interviewing me (I think that's age discrimination to ask, but I know that CA has super strict alcohol laws). I am FWIW |

Re: Do you golf? Do you like your beverage cart girl?
kipin,
Nice pickup. I can't explain this well but I enjoy a drink more if I got it on the cheap. It's almost like a $10 cocktail at some bar will never live up to the hype because I let the massive markup affect my enjoyment of it or something. If I'm on a course having 4-5 drinks that's $30+ dollars after tip, which annoys me when I know I can smuggle my own and drink for half that. As for the cart guys, I just feel it's a totally unnecessary service that the course forces upon its guests, and for whatever reason I get uncomfortable in tipping situations. That could be because I'm cheap and/or other reasons. |

Re: Do you golf? Do you like your beverage cart girl?
I just looked and in California you have to be 21 unless you are working in a "bonafide eating place" (restaurant). There's no chance its illegal to ask if you're 21 and you'll probably be carded before you start.

Re: Do you golf? Do you like your beverage cart girl?
I am way closer to wanting to take up golf, knowing there are girls like fluffpop driving around serving me alcoholic beverages. Somehow this never happened the two times I've played before.

[/ QUOTE ] Ya but see, this is why I'm kind of worried - what if them not carding me//asking me during the first interview means that I won't be serving alcohol (and therefore won't be getting good tips?) I guess I'll know on Monday |
