414 411/412u 408 Jets/Browns o37 -- The Jets are an Over machine, and even the Browns are an equivalent Under machine (which I doubt), the O/U should be up around 41, not 37. Chiefs (-6) over Seahawks -- Chiefs played significantly better football than the Seehawks before they lost their QB, and there figures to be a massive drop-off to Seneca Wallace. Chiefs at home giving less than a TD to Seneca Wallace, seems too good to be true. Probably is, but whatever. Cardinals/Packers u44.5 -- Packers have been a neutral team, and Cardinals have actually been a moderately strong defensive team. 39-40 is about right, 44.5 is way too much. Giants (-8.5) over Bucs -- My system actually likes this game most of all, but I'm a Giants fan and I don't really trust them to cover a big number, even against Gradkowski (sp?). |

Re: 3+1 NFL Challenge - 2006: Week 8
[ QUOTE ]
$400 Colts/Broncos under 39.5 Denver's home results this season: Sep 17 Kansas City Won 9-6 Oct 9 Baltimore Won 13-3 Oct 15 Oakland Won 13-3 Meanwhile the Colts are, as expected, offensive monsters (and rough on the 'D'), but other than Jax they haven't really played against much in the way of Defense. I think we have two chances to win this one, a 34-0 Colts win and another 12-9 Denver kickfest type game. The one chance to lose is a 34-21 Colts "standard" game, but I don't really see that at Denver and I think we have the best of this. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe, but keep in mind that teams have actually moved the ball pretty well against Denver -- The Bropncos have just been playing out of their minds in the red zone, which is unsustainable. Also keep in mind that Denver has faced some putrid offenses lately. OTOH, the Colts have actually been slowing down in the red zone, what with the lack of a power running game, so maybe the Broncos can keep it up for one more week. I would still take the Over in this game, though, if I had to choose. |
