Re: Black Friday 2007
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is an amazing deal: 42" TV, 1080p for $996.99 from Best Buy TV Anyone know the catch here? It's like $1000 off the list price... [/ QUOTE ] The contrast isn't that great. The Sharp 46D64 is on sale at CC for $1300 on BF. That's a better set, and it has a 20% bigger screen. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks, I didn't notice that. I didn't think they still made TVs with a 1200:1 CR. But damn, what a ridiculous deal on the Sharp TV. |

Re: Black Friday 2007
If you aren't a baller, don't bother with 1080p at 42, because you won't notice a difference.

Re: Black Friday 2007
Dell website sale through 11/26 or while supplies last... I am looking at getting one also.
Although I think there are some laptops for 400 and you can get them with XP. (look under small business) |

Whats the word with Vista? [/ QUOTE ] You can get the deal either way (XP or Vista). Vista - some programs don't run on it yet. Also you probably need 2 GB RAM to run it properly. At least that is what I keep reading on other (more technical) message boards. So if you want to keep your cost down while having the best performing machine that you can, I would go with XP with this deal. ** Again, not a computer know-it-all but where I go to learn about these things this is the prevailing opinion, even when the board was discussing this exact deal. |
