when you are talking about Britney Spears on a forum, that message is not being communicated to her.

personally, i think its way more likely that they are classless people who don't have the balls to talk [censored] in public, rather than gentlemen who believe that talking [censored] on the internet is ok just because there is a different dynamic on-line (which isn't a very good argument in the first place).

of course i don't know them, so its really just speculation, but i think this line of reasoning explains why many are coming to the conclusions that they are.

The distinction between people's internet personae and their real-life behavior has always seemed somewhat strange to me, particularly for those whose "jobs" are nearly entirely based on online interaction. If 95% of your interactions with a community are in a venue where you're going to act like a dick, shouldn't they be basing their opinions on whether or not you're a dick on that rather than the 5% of the time they encounter you in "real life" (again, a term which seems strange to me in the context of people whose real livelihood derives largely from online gambling)?
