That was one of the most depressing blogs that I have ever read.

I feel the urge to kill myself rising.

Finally gave in to popular demand, read all about it here:

http://luckyjimandhisdegenerateadventures.blogspot.com/

Can I make money out of it by getting adverts for poker sites? How do I go about that?

[/ QUOTE ]

Warning.

Once your site grows ads, it is no longer kosher for 2p2.

Fair enough. Some way to go yet though - I just checked Google Adsense and the Will Hill affiliate page. Total revenues generated so far = $0.00!

Why don't you listen to Rushmore? There is no sentiment, no psychological insight, no pathos you can capture that Dostoevsky hasn't captured 1000x better already. Why not at least be honest about that?

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, of course. I quote Dostoevsky in my first ever post to 2+2:

You might say The Beatles do most pop songs better too, so why does anyone else bother?

Perhaps because creating music is at least an artistic sublimation of human nature's dark side? If you're going to write, at least ATTEMPT art. Certainly not even you imagine that this masturbatory, masochistic blog is anything more than that---self-indulgence...childish, childish self-indulgence.

Eh - does that hold true for pop music, which is what my example was?

Maybe you could argue it does for 'The Winner Takes it All' and 'God Only Knows' but, on the whole, no, it doesn't!
