We never got anything close to that. It was all Fifth Business and Margaret Atwood for us. [/ QUOTE ] We did a bunch of Kafka, and we did clockwork orange. My school has its own friggin website: www.imsa.edu Yes, i'm glad it's done. [/ QUOTE ] yeah...I remember reading Waiting for Godot and Dante's Inferno while a student there...kind of intense |

Re: Best Books You\'ve Been Assigned to Read
Moon Sun and Witches: Gender Ideologies and Class in Inca and Colonial Peru. Irene Silverblatt.
The New Class: An Analysis of the Communist System. Milovan Djilas, disillusioned former higher up in, I believe, the Yugoslavian C.P. Disposable People: New Slavery in the Global Economy. Kevin Bales. I think the title about says it all. I also assigned myself ALL of Howard Zinn's writings while writing a thesis. A People' History of the United States is a must, but the other stuff is good too (see, The Politics of History). Disposing of politics/history: Dostoevsky- Poor Folk and The Brothers Karamazov. |
