Re: BarryG - Online Poker should be legal in 6 months
There are softer sites then party out there, and I doubt party will be a soft site when Americans are allowed to play there again.
No rakeback and alot of 2+2ers. GG |

Last thing you want is regulation in the USA. You think the taxing is bad now? haha. With the rake and tax likely to be prevalent on sites with regulation... you'll be losing probably 60% of profits to the IRS/the site. [/ QUOTE ] I think this point is way way way off. How exactly are you figuring that the players will incur extra taxation? The taxes will be placed on the sites themselves, which they will be more than happy to pay. (US Resurgence) - (US Taxes) >>>>>>>>>>> No US market access. About the only change I could see on the player's end is the fact that it will be a hell of a lot harder to cheat on taxes as the sites will probably be required to report income for winning players. Also, the if online poker is actually LEGAL, rather than in the grey area, we will see a boom of the same recreational players that made the site so juicy in years back. The amount of fish that simply stopped depositing because they didnt want to deal with all the grey area [censored] has to be staggering. |

[/ QUOTE ] more like, required to report very large cashouts. it will still be easy to cheat on your taxes! just never cash out! but then perhaps the sites will disable inter account transfers since it will be easy to deposit. |

Really glad to hear that Barry was chosen of all the pro's there. Can you imagine, Rousso or Duke representin? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, it would be horrible if Congress were made aware that young, intelligent women who could choose any career were playing poker for a living and succeeding. That certainly would be counterproductive in trying to convince Congress that a large segment of the population cares about online poker. |

Dont you think the govt. will be taxing the poker sites, not the individual player. In Casinos you dont pay taxes on your profits, unless they are over a certain amount. [/ QUOTE ] lol....no |
