Anchorman - very funny comedy. One of the best ever, maybe THE best.

Borat - very funny docu-comedy. First of its kind, IMHO.

Haha, from the wellington hotel faq (I was checking to see if I've stayed there, I don't think I have).

Did Borat really sleep here?

He did NOT!

Based on the room I had there, there is no way you could fit him, his fat friend, and a camera crew in there. Cool place though.

I was going to paste my favorite quotes from this page, but I started reading and realized that every single one of them is GOLD. This movie might be the most quotable comedy in history.

No movie is more quotable than that.

On topic, I voted Borat. But it's really close. I always thought Anchorman was very underrated when it came out, and it's nice to see people (myself included) enjoying it more and more with each viewing.

Both are hilarious and genius in their own rights. I picked borat, but loved them both.

I bit of hedging for sure, but they really are two of my favorite movies. Not very black and white of a poll for me - unlike most others in OOT.

I was undecided coming in to this thread. But in reading some responses I have come to realize that rewatchability is the cornerstone of a great comedy.

Ron B it is.

"Straight shot. Right to the babymaker."

edit: Borat is still too fresh. Give it a few years, and this poll may look completely different.

Crazy Eyez,

That is a very good comment about the freshness of Borat and it would be interesting to see of it stands the test of time b/c personally I have had no interest in seeing it again though I laughed my ass off when I saw in the theater. I own Anchorman and watch it all the time, I have no idea how many times I have seen it but the number is silly and each time I see it I laugh just as much.

Dids,

I can't think of the hotel they were in for that scene but it was in Las Colinas, TX (a suburb of Dallas). I originally wanted to say it was the Wyndham but that didn't sound right, then I was thinking the Four Seasons but I wasn't sure about that either. It is really bothering me that I can't remember this.

First watching: Borat > Anchorman
Second and subsequent watchings: Anchorman > Borat
