Hopeless,

It has the next "best" thing, which is dog owners letting us know how much cats suck. Thanks dog owners for that thoughtful insight.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've owned both cats and dogs and dogs are better by far.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also worse. Cats are far cheaper and easier to take care of and can be much more affectionate than many give them credit for. Mine have typically followed me around even more than my dogs have, and wanted to spend just as much time with me if not more. Which is hard to do, considering dogs.

I don't know. You can own an inflatable woman, but not a real one, so does that make inflatable ones better?

Please tell me before my cart times out.

but I reckon he saved that boy from being chewed up.

since you can own a dog, but can not own a cat, I think that makes dogs better by default

[/ QUOTE ]

I've had both, and quite a few of them. They both have their positives and negatives. I don't have a preference over either one of them, but prefer both to most people I know!

Don't forget Jack the cat! Some cute little critters are capable of incredible things.

(IIRC, many months ago somebody made an OOT 2+2 post about this story)

Is it really possible that the dog did this to save the boys?

[/ QUOTE ]

You're seriously asking if it's possible that a dog was being protective of its owners?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah. I wanted to know what was going on in the Dogs head. I didn't think it was obvious. Did the dog know he was gonna get killed or do they just respond to a threat in that way. If the dog was by himself would he have ran away?

[/ QUOTE ]

If he was by himself he probably wouldhave run away but those kids showed that dog so much affection that he stood up to the two pitbulls. I don't think the dog knew it was gonna die, I don't even think it cared if it did. That dog was just helping out his owners when they needed it most.

It's like if your with a girl and are walking down the street and two guys jump out with knives, I'd do my best to make sure the girl is safe. If I was alone, I'd sprint home with my tail between my legs. Guy are exactly like dogs. We eat, crap, and sleep, we also protect those closest to us.

Thats why dogs are man's best freind. And thats why I would never own a cat. Cat's are useless lazy animals.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, you summed it up perfectly. F**k cats.
