Re: Trip Report: Getting Robbed at Knifepoint.
[ QUOTE ]
you can get a small meal for 40c there at least right? [/ QUOTE ] I'm going to need that money to check my email because the random wireless connection I'm on usually quits about an hour from now. I have a friend who owns a small bar/restaurant and he'll probably take pity on me and give me a hamburger and some good advice. |

Re: Trip Report: Getting Robbed at Knifepoint.
Probably not a bad idea to be overly cautious for the time being. It sounds a little crazy, but that girl who knocked on your door could have just been there checking to see if you were in the room. I'd definitely secure ANY valuables you have before you leave your room.

It's strange to me that after all this went down your first decision was to post it up on 2+2.
You should have better things to do. |

Always leave yourself outs.
Nice robbers though, didnt do any physical damage. I would make a police report though. I hope your insurance covers these things. |

[/ QUOTE ] I still have everything I consider to be most valuable, i.e. my passport, computer, and money in online accounts. I only lost a cheap cell phone, under $50 in cash, and most annoyingly my ability to access my money. As I said, it's almost comical this happens the one day I happen to be carrying both of my cards. |
