I only checked the Discovery HD Theater channel, but it looks like they're replaying all 3 episodes at 11, 12, and 1 tonight (central time).

It's also going to be replayed a bunch of times tomorrow (mon 3/26) on the Science Channel.

A lot of that stuff just had my jaw on the floor and I got a bunch of laughs out of it as well [the baboons walking upright in the water looked like clumsy people]. Seeing nature in such a grand scope made me reflect a lot on life in general and how its all so connected and I wasn't even high like some people [although I could imagine that being the [censored]].

I really really wish I was at home with my HDTV instead of at college. Also, those commercials were killing me, soooo many it hurt after awhile. Overall, fantastic though. I can not wait until the DVDs come out.

you have to assume that the people at National Geographic are either really excited or really jealous of this series.

Thanks for the PSA. Don't know how I missed it, but I'll catch one of the 3,464,743 reruns. If it's anything like Blue Planet, it will be excellent.

Man, I thought some of the footage from the whale shark was CGI, this is a pretty neat program, and I usually never watch this kind of stuff.

OMG is Sigourney Weaver narrating?

Haven't watched it yet, but why do documentary people use "stars" to do voice overs. It's distracing. I felt the same way about Morgan Freeman and March of the Penguins. I kept picturing the movie Seven instead of the penguins. They should just use the generic, deep voiced guys who do the movie trailers.

I caught the second half of "Mountains" and all of "Deep Ocean"... really breathtaking stuff. First time I've wanted HDTV.

Five-Star,

Why would NatGeo be excited about this? Discovery is their main competition and they nailed one out of the park. Can you elaborate?

I was wondering last night after watching this if the makers of this will ever be able to make their money back?

I don't know a ton about sponsorship, commercial air time and how many DVDs they have to sell, but it seems like it could almost never be enough. They took over 4 years to fill all of this and many many people must have been paid to do work, plus all of it was filmed in HD. Thinking about it, I was just wondering how much money that would all take. It seems enormous.

Anyone know how they afford to do this in the first place and then how they make most of the money back?

They have even less faith in the american audience than OOT, which is really sad. Same thing goes for Cartoon movies now. Big stars are putting quality voice actors out of buisness (or at least bumping them down a few notches). What are the kids into these day...? MORGAN FREEMAN! So when they advertize that a big star is doing the narration, more people might watch.

Sigourney, however, was a horrible choice. Plus, anybody that's interested in this stuff has heard Attenboroughs voice, even if they never heard of him.
