All,

Sounds like there's interest in 2 games/tables. A fun, very low stakes game (where people bring $100 each for the night) and a slightly more serious higher stakes game (where people bring $1000+ for the night).

eff,

"El D, if you don't consider poker leisure, what do you consider it? Competitive?"

Yeah, the competition part is the main interest for me. And just gambling it up a bit. I also find live poker to be very boring unless the stakes are pretty high. For hanging out and socializing, I'd much rather go to a bar than hang out playing poker at someone's house.

if its just gonna be pros/semi-pros threres no reason to play for real money. we can go to one of the bay area barns and play big against suckers. if everyone wants to bring a +1 huckleberry we can play as big as they can handle, but it doesnt sound like that kind of game. i suggest sumthin like 1-1-2 $200 min. PL mixed. fun stakes that allow for drinking, discussing, not paying attention but enough that if someone takes home a couple g's they have good bragging rights.

29th sounds good. protect your hand at all times.

seriously, the stakes should be such that there is absolutely no chance of anyone getting out of line.

Well, f you and sucker, but limon being in the mix obv changes things. I have dinner plans the 29th, but will try to either change those or maybe try and stop by late.
