He said crime has gone down at the same time spanking has gone out of vogue and to him its not a coincidence. The implication is there is evidence of a causal connection.

[/ QUOTE ] So when I am standing in line with my 4yo niece and some kids behind us are spewing vulgarities I should chalk it up to freedom of expression? And when I read about a kid killing his brother over a game controller, or the pukes who got one mom to drive them to a skate park to kill that 13yo, and the ~25 guys who jumped one (1) at Six Flags, and the 11yo having sex in the middle of class while others ran interference...it's all relative because I did mischief too when I was young!? How myopic and uneducated to think "Kids these days..."
