fmxda chooses Elimination MLB Pick'em.

For each round, you will predict the scores (not just winners) for all of the MLB games for a given day. You will designate one of your scores as a "Sure Pick."

In each round, rankings will be determined by the following:
1) Most number of outright outcomes correctly predicted (picking the winners)
2) Correctly choosing the outcome of your "Sure Pick."
3) Accuracy of scores. (If you predicted Pirates 3 - Brewers 1 but the Brewers win 4-0, then you're off by 3 runs for the Pirates run count and off by 3 for the Brewers run count for a total of 6 runs. All of the games will be summed together and the lowest totals are ranked highest.

Eliminations

Each round will eliminate half of the field. The first round will advance 6 players to the next round (plus any ties if they exist). The second round will advance the top 3 players (plus any ties if they exist). The final round will determine final rankings for the finalists.

Rankings will be determined by the round you are eliminated in. If you're eliminated in the second round, your first round score does not factor into your placement.

Game delays and postponements

If a game is delayed, but play resumes on the original competition night, the game will count for the purposes of this contest. (i.e. Cubs and Cardinals are delayed in the 3rd inning on Sunday, but continue their game on Sunday and an outcome is determined, the game will count (even if it finishes after midnight))

If a game is delayed and is postponed, the game does not count unless an outcome is determined. (i.e. Angels and A's are rained out in the 4th. Game does not count. However if Twins at Tigers is rained out in the bottom of the 6th with the Tigers leading, then the game counts.) This rule follows MLB's rain-out rules.

For this game, if less than 12 games are recorded for the competition day, the round will be replayed on another day.

Prediction submissions

Submission deadline is the day selected by the mod before the first pitch of the first game.

As with the other games in this competition, if you do not submit a first round entry, you will receive no championship points. If you don't submit for other rounds, you'll be ranked at the bottom of the rankings for that round.
