PLEASE HELP me assess the current fish-situation on party / in general.

the last couple months i ran very bad. when i rewatched some old session from my winning times, it seemed that most of my winnings came from absolutely terrible / spewy fish. i don't see many of these nowadays.

is it possible that the situation changed drastically from may/june to july/august? so that now you have to be able to get a lot of value from the "regular fish" (that is much less spewy) to survive?

has your winrate been constant during this time, or has it dropped massively?

I had a nice profit in may, a moderate profit in june, a breakeven month in july and a nice profit in august.

I haven't noticed any change in the fish ecology though; although I found the games during the grind promo a bit tougher.

Fwiw, most of my profits comes from players who don't notice my nittyness and call down extremely light. It doesn't matter whether those are drooling fish or multitabling regulars; so my winnings don't rely on the amount of maniacs at my tables.

i've been wondering about that too, altough it's a bit like calculating the chances of a "maximum credible accident" vs. the usefulness of a nuclear reactor - extremely unlikely to happen, but IF it happens...

Yeah, deciding whether to play on a BBJ table based on the EV doesn't make much sense because the variance is bigger than life, literally. You can play on BBJ tables when it's +EV for 10 years straight, spending $50K+ on BBJ rake and still never hit it, and that isn't even bad luck.
