[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Ugh, why can't Dallas ever drive the ball against this team? [/ QUOTE ] I gotta say, I LOVE seeing Devin out of control and getting called for charges. I like him a lot, but karma's a bitch you flopping douchebag. [/ QUOTE ] If Devin Harris is a flopping douchebag, what's Steve Nash? [/ QUOTE ] Steve Nash does not flop. [/ QUOTE ] lol |

Stat wise Nash and Kidd aren't that far apart. They support the Nash better on offense, Kidd better on defense notion. Nash's assist and turnover ratio were 39.3/12.8 respectively last season versus Kidd's 37.6/10.9. Nash offensive/defensive ratings were 124/110 respectively versus Kidd's 111/103. So unsurprisingly Kidd is the better defender statwise while Nash is the better offensive player. I am kinda surprised assist ratio was so close. Obviously Nash is a much better shooter. On a team with plenty of scorers I'd pick Kidd over Nash though. Eg. the Celtics [/ QUOTE ] Right now Nash makes any team a team with plenty of high % scorers. |

Which is why I would take Kidd over him only at teams like the Celtics who have plenty of firepower regardless of who is the primary distributor.
I am not sure what point you are trying to make |

My point is that Nash's ability to make people better >>>>>>>> Kidds, at least recently.
The Phoenix record and player stats with and without Nash the last few years are astounding. When he's on the court, its like noone EVER takes a contested shot. It's surreal. |

And my point is that when you have offensive studs you just need someone to pass the ball well, not make many turnovers and help out with defense (incl. rebounding/steals), ie. Kidd > Nash in those, and in only in those, rare instances.
So I completely agree with you unless you are saying that you would take Nash on all teams, even a team with 3 offensive studs like the Celtics. I agree to disagree with you if that's the case |

Marion's barely an NBA offensive player without Nash on the court. Celtics with Nash >> Celtics with Kidd |

bobbo,
I wasn't saying that Barnes didn't have value, I was saying that Barnes really gets under my skin. He takes an elbow on defense so obv COMPLETELY unintentional and the off player ends up on the ground b/c it was a fast break situation--Barnes acts like it is a street game or something and stands over him all bowed up. I really wish someone would would get up off the ground in that situation and knock his scrawny ass the [censored] out and make him realize that is act is tired. Good ball player though. |

devin harris is basically a common whore. Always on his back. [ QUOTE ] Ben Wallace didn't show up all last season either. [/ QUOTE ] yeah that's not true at all. He wasn't '04 ben wallace, but he was a pretty valuable player nonetheless. [/ QUOTE ] ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhh |
