Go to the BRICK and MORTAR forum here at 2+2...........there are many threads on the cardrooms in Florida and specifically those in the Tampa area.

Just got off the phone with The Hard Rock Tampa Card room. They have just set the games they are going to be running starting 8:00 am Sunday the 1st. It's the Poker Mecca!!!

I just called the Hard Rock in Hollywood and they not made a decision regarding new limits. The guy on the phone said this should be done in the next 48 hours.

Much is being made about the excitement of raising the stakes at Florida.

I am happy to say at the soon to be opened casino at Wheeling WV no such STATE limits will be in place.

From the state code:
§29-22C-21. Betting limits; operations and services.
(a) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained elsewhere in this article, a racetrack licensee may, as agent of the commission, in the exercise of its business judgment, determine and establish the following:
(1) Minimum and maximum wagers;

So, at least the state will keep is nose out of stakes!

Friend just called me from the Hard Rock in Hollywood. They are not spreading anything above the normal 1/2 and 2/2 today as others had reported they will spread the new games starting today. They also told him at the brush that they are unsure about exactly which games they will be spreading come Sunday but they will not be spreading them any sooner.

There was a 1 hour wait for a 1/2 LHE table.
