This really annoys the living f*ck out of me. When people cannot fold AK just for the mere fact that it is a very powerful premium hand PREFLOP. BTW, you all were right about the $20s and $30s having a lot of idiots, but this is just beyond stupidity.

I'm not a big fan of it, and would personally not do it, but he probably figures he could be drawing to as many as 10 outs twice over, along with some FE on his push. |

Re: ***** November LC Thread *****
So yesterday I discovered that 1/2 6-max cap PLO is a gigantic fishtank. This is among the first hands I played yesterday:
Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 2 players Converter Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is SB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero calls, BB checks. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4, 2 players) BB bets $4, Hero raises to $13, BB calls. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($30, 2 players) BB bets $30, Hero raises to $65, BB calls. River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($160, 2 players) Results: Final pot: $160 Hero showed 3d 8c As Js BB showed Qd 6s 9s Qh And the conversation afterwards: BB: bad luck heh BB: damn coolers =) BB: so sick =( BB: ouch BB: oh there goes my bankroll lol BB (Observer): @%## I of course, being an exploiting jerk, tried to reassure that the flush over flush hand was a cooler and not overplaying a hand. Of course, the delicious taste of busto sort of negated that, but whatever. |

Re: ***** November LC Thread *****
Who is the weirdo playing small stakes HUSNGs with a FTSOP football avatar. I will admit that you are very intimidating to see. Like WTF, really? No [censored] way! Why is this guy, the winner of a FTSOP jersey, playing penny ante poker, against me? If you want to know who I am, well....
Yep, I do press betpot before the flop constantly for the first two levels, except when I 3 bet, where I press betpot and subtract some. I think that whatever numerical edge I am losing is negated by hand revelation. |

F'in Pacific!
So, 10 or so days ago I open my favorite fishpool, look at the lobby and wtf? What are those green tables ... ZOMG!! ... HU cash tables!!! Weeeeeeeeeee!!!11!!11! So I was crushing everyone at sight (NL50). Mostly running good, but also expertly extracting with my made hands. Then the variance kicks in. And when I say 'variance' it's not about loosing - no it's just that they were really hitting draws/suckouts so stacking average donk was no longer 5min job. No, it was playing long sessions, reloading in between, keeping playing until I eventually stack them. For the record: every single 'match' I won - won meaning they stack off to me and leave, except for one case of hit'n'run (AK > QQ - AI PF). What I failed to notice in the beggining is how rake is noticeable during longer sessions. Yesterday I was sitting at the table when a donk joins and buys in for $15. Meh, I prefer juicier meal but fine, lets play. What followed was 1+ hour of amazing suckouts, getting him down to like $7 only to see him winning every single flip and again and again, lolercoaster which eventually ended with me winning. I won! He lost everything to me and left the table! This is how it ended! I WON! After he left I closed the table, looked at the cashier and [censored] [censored] - I lost $30 !!?? Not only that I didn't win his $15, but during reloads and due to a long match with lots of big pots in it I didn't even notice what was happening. So I won and I lost two times more then I was supposed to win!!11!!1!!! F'in Pacific and their F'in rake structure!! Very soon I'm moving somewhere with RB and bonuses. |
