Finally had my $$ draft. It's a 12 team league. 10yds/pt. 50pyd/pt. All TD's 6 pts. Start QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, D. 15 roster spots. I had 11th pick. I would appreciate some feedback.

11. Henry (RB)
14 McGahee (RB)
35. R. Williams (WR)
38. L. Fitzgerald (WR)
59. R. Brown (WR)
62. J. Norwood (RB)
83. Kitna (QB)
86. B. Edwards (WR)
107. Lendale White (RB)
110. M. Turner (RB)
131. B. Watson (TE)
134. Denver DEF
155. J. Porter (WR)
158. C. Brown (RB)
179. Stover (K)

Team with LDT has already contacted me about a trade for Turner. No official offer has been made, but it's looking like he's willing to part with Chad Johnson and Tatum Bell for Fitzgerald and Turner. Here is his roster:

QB: McNair, Cutler
RB: LDT, Deangelo Williams, T. Jones, T. Bell, A-Train Thomas
WR: CJ, Holt, Bennett, Ginn Jr., Jarrett
TE: Shockey

Should I take this deal? Maybe get Deangelo instead of Bell?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't really like your first two picks. Not sure who was available or when you drafted, but Henry is hurt. He should be back, but who knows. McGahee is alright at 14, not too thrilled though. I really like your 3rd and 4th picks, those were good value. Kitna is a good pick.

It's hard to judge Tatum, he will be the feature back while Deangelo could still be splitting carries. Another thing we don't know is how effective the new zone blocking will be in Carolina. I've never been that impressed with Tatum, I know Deangelo is better but in Detroit, he'll probally get more carries with a crappier o-line and a system that favors the WRs.

For those who keep on pimpin Footballguys, how is their Draft Dominator program? Has anyone actually used it for a real draft?

[/ QUOTE ]

I dig it. You can import custom projections that you draw up in the Projections Dominator, and while it took me a little time to get the hang of using the program, it does everything I could want it to do.

Guy wants Brandon Jacobs for Gates straight up. yes/no? jacbos is my 3rd rb at best.

[/ QUOTE ]

Accept before he takes it back.

[/ QUOTE ]

i don't think it's that easy. RB depth is not all that easy to come by. I'm not a huge fan of Jacobs, but it seems pretty fair. If Jacobs has a few big weeks to start the season, you can get much more than a mid-3rd round pick for him. Plus Watson is a capable TE this year.

Manning was the only non RB taken in the first 17 picks. I had the choice of Rudi, Bush, Henry & McGahee. It's non PPR so i'm passing Bush. I could have taken Rudi and possibly should have. This was also Friday night before the Henry injury happened. 12 took rudi & bush, so mcgahee was my only option there. I could have easily taken Rudi though and in hindsight, should have.

The trade is more about upgrading from Fitz to CJ. The RB I get there is just a cherry on top. If LT goes down, obviously Turner is huuuuuge, but I have the depth that I don't need to trade him, and I can just cross my fingers than LT gets hurt. How much more is CJ>Fitz is my question.

I would just stay away from LJ.

[/ QUOTE ]

Staying away is my first thought, that said....

I see him going between 3 and 5, but if I end up drafting at 6 or 7 and he is still there.... I gotta take him, maybe catching Henry or Mcgahee or Westbrook on the way back.

I've never played in a "serious" league for money and still this one is just with a bunch of friends. I really didn't research much, but how would you rate this team. Do I need to make any moves?

QB - 3 RB - 3 WR - TE - K - DEF

Scoring system seems basic too. If any more information is needed, let me know.

Round Pick Player Position
1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB
2. (16) Willis McGahee RB
3. (17) Carson Palmer QB
4. (32) Antonio Gates TE
5. (33) Thomas Jones RB
6. (48) Calvin Johnson WR
7. (49) Chicago DEF
8. (64) Santana Moss WR
9. (65) Laveranues Coles WR
10. (80) Deion Branch WR
11. (81) Fred Taylor RB
12. (96) Nate Kaeding K
13. (97) Chris Chambers WR
14. (112) J.P. Losman QB
15. (113) Michael Turner RB

Round Pick Player Position
1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB-Fine
2. (16) Willis McGahee RB-Fine
3. (17) Carson Palmer QB-Fine, not a huge fan
4. (32) Antonio Gates TE-Probally too early especially since you don't have WR
5. (33) Thomas Jones RB-Another RB before your first WR?
6. (48) Calvin Johnson WR-Calvin is good but rookie WR usually aren't that great
7. (49) Chicago DEF-Way, way too early, come on.
8. (64) Santana Moss WR-Okay.
9. (65) Laveranues Coles WR-Okay.
10. (80) Deion Branch WR-Okay, probally value.
11. (81) Fred Taylor RB-Fine.
12. (96) Nate Kaeding K-Too early for a K.
13. (97) Chris Chambers WR-Blah, I guess TG should be an upgrade over their previous seasons but will have to see.
14. (112) J.P. Losman QB-Fine
15. (113) Michael Turner RB-Fine since you got LT

My thinking might be skewed, but is taking Jones before a WR bad since I think he would be more productive and I could find a group of WR? In a 3 RB league...

Your WR are really bad, imo. Gates, Palmer, Chicago D, Kaeding are all good players you just have really bad WRs. Gates is kinda in the right area, Palmer is slightly high, Chicago is way too high, and Kaeding is way too high.
