Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
He handled that interview well, despite being on tilt and his hair a little flat. Better flat than too poofy.

Horrible trade. You gave up the #36 pick and likely a top 10 pick next year for a low first round QB. [/ QUOTE ] This is not a traditional late first round QB. This whole thing was an interesting matter of circumstance. |

Wow they just traded like, top 3 pick and a 2nd rounder for #22 [/ QUOTE ] Cle will prob be 5-10 pick and if that is the case they'd be drafting a qb anyways. |

This is obviously going to turn out to be a tremendous deal for the Cowboys. They moved down 10 spots and picked up at least a top 10 pick next year...and probably a top 3-5 pick. Cowboys with a soooooolid trade there. That said, I can't knock Cleveland too much here. Their pick next year may very well not have been equal to Brady Quinn. [/ QUOTE ] cowboys get a ton back here, but it's one of those things where i can't knock the browns...the franchise has been [censored] for years and they at least need to make a statment...hard to measure something like that, but this changes the atmosphere and that might be worth it to their fans... |

Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
Wow. The Cowboys totally ripped off the Browns here. That pick could easily be top 5 next year, and the Cowboys may end up getting one of the receivers they want at 36 anyway.

The only way this makes sense if if there is a 2nd team waiting in the wings offering a bunch aswell. Its not like KC was a lock to take him, and i'm sure they would have listened to a 3rd and next years first for him after dallas passes. |

Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
What a great deal for dallas. They move down ten spots to get what will almost certainly be a top 5 pick next year. It's like a 5:1 robbery from the draft picks value chart (although obviously there is value to having the player for 1 year).

[/ QUOTE ] Browns needed to make a statement by having a good draft, making smart value picks since they have huge holes in several positions. The 1st and 3rd was a small stretch but ok, but 2nd round this year means they can't fill another hole for this years team. |
