What I think of when I hear it is to be on the right side of set over set, flush over flush and other coolers. Also if you get all in with a set vs a draw or the opposite, win your share (or more) of the hands at showdown.

I guess if you always play the same way against the same quality of player at the same stakes then they are the same. I'd just look at winnings, relative to the number of hands and stakes, and compare with expected. Anything more is running good, even if you lose every coin toss but make up for it by getting AA v KK a load of times.

I basically read running good as being lucky but not just in the sense of suckouts or being dealt good cards, but others may take it was meaning something else.

I think of it definetely as u fkin luckbox, but with a hint of jealousy at their good fortune or skill/perserverance/suckoutskillz whatever.(cts posting a screenshot vs a 3 outer in a 400bb pot)
