[ QUOTE ]
Please Grade my draft I am not thrilled with it but lets see. PPR league with RB getting 1 pt per 10 yrds and 6 pts per TD including passing 2 pt bonus for RBs and WRs at 100 yrds and QB at 300 yrds 14 person draft 1 qb, 2 rb, 2wr, 1 rb/wr, 1 te, 1 def/spt, 1 k 1. 3 Joseph Addai (not thrilled with this choice but didn't really like anyone better) Heard of Reggie Bush maybe? 2. 26 Tory Holt (ok) Great value here 3. 31 Brandon Jacobs (not thrilled here either but was going to look really sparse for a second rb by the time it got back) Meh, I'm sure Housh was still on the board, he would of been the much better pick I think 4. 54 Todd Heap (again ok but not thrilled) Much too early to take a TE here 5. 59 Laveranues Coles (ok, needed WR and was best left) he has good value in PPR 6. 82 Ahmad Green (seemed a really good value, had no intentions of picking him) STEAL 7. 87 Darrell Jackson (missed Santa Moss by one pick, seemed best left) Would of preferred Galloway 8. 110 Warrick Dunn (same as Green, to good to pass up at this point) meh, don't like dunn's chances this year. Would of rather had LeDale or Lamont Jordon if available 9. 115 Jay Cutler (missed Eli by one pick, didn't think the guy would take a second QB as he already had Hassleback, then panicked and took next QB on my list) not bad 10. 138 Curtis Taylor (seemed to good to pass up) I assume you mean Chester Taylor. If so good pick. 11. 143 Kevin Curtis (reaching at this point) Nah, good pick 12. 166 Dwayne Jarrett (really reaching) 13. 171 Byron Leftwich (ugh) ugh? wtf? Leftwich was 7th in fppg last year, before he got hurt. 14. 194 DeDe Dorsey (never heard of him strickly backup for Addai) 15. 199 Robert Meachem (thought it was worth the risk at this point) 16. 222 Visanthe Shiancoe (pointless pick will be dropping because I don't have a D or K, anyway) I guess my starters at this point would be: Jay Cutler Joseph Addai Brandon Jacobs Tory Holt Lavernaus Coles Todd Heap Ahmad Green Indy (several available) pick up Washington K? [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Yes, meant Chester Taylor and thanks for the input guys I actually feel a little better about it after reading your thoughts. I didn't like having the third pick and wasn't thrilled with my first four choices except Holt. To give you an idea of how many rbs were taken early Deuce was the pick after me taking Jacobs. I do feel I got decent depth and hopefully some will have big years. I won this league 2 years ago but didn't last year despite taking Gore in the 6th and Brees in the 9th. |

I personally prefer Frank Gore 4. I guess LJ is fine here. Reason for Gore over LJ, LJ's line keeps leaving him. When he was truly dominating 2 years ago, he had 2 HOF lineman, now they are both gone. Gone is Trent Green. They still don't have a good set of WRs. There are chances of Brody playing many games this year which could be good or bad for LJ. It could be good b/c he'll get more chances, it could be bad that he'll get 8 guys in the box. FG should be the feature back in an offensive unit that is getting stronger by the year. The line is still very good especially with big man Larry Allen still at the helm. Alex Smith is getting better. VD should hopefully play more games this year and stop the box filling. DJ should be a helpful addition to AS and Gore to open up the field. |

I'm not sure I wouldn't take Addai over LJ too...
A "squarish" co-worker mentioned to me yesterday that he thinks LJ is overrated...yah him & the rest of the world...I don't think he's overrated anymore. |

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
What's everyones toughts about Shaun? Will he return to form with a healthier O-line and a healthier foot? Or due to his age, will he never be the same? I'm going with the latter, I haven't selected him in leagues, but I can see him returning to form.

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
He's definitely a guy I would stay away from. He can bounce back, but there are better picks and someone will take him higher than he's worth.

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
Finally had my $$ draft. It's a 12 team league. 10yds/pt. 50pyd/pt. All TD's 6 pts. Start QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, D. 15 roster spots. I had 11th pick. I would appreciate some feedback.
11. Henry (RB) 14 McGahee (RB) 35. R. Williams (WR) 38. L. Fitzgerald (WR) 59. R. Brown (WR) 62. J. Norwood (RB) 83. Kitna (QB) 86. B. Edwards (WR) 107. Lendale White (RB) 110. M. Turner (RB) 131. B. Watson (TE) 134. Denver DEF 155. J. Porter (WR) 158. C. Brown (RB) 179. Stover (K) Team with LDT has already contacted me about a trade for Turner. No official offer has been made, but it's looking like he's willing to part with Chad Johnson and Tatum Bell for Fitzgerald and Turner. Here is his roster: QB: McNair, Cutler RB: LDT, Deangelo Williams, T. Jones, T. Bell, A-Train Thomas WR: CJ, Holt, Bennett, Ginn Jr., Jarrett TE: Shockey Should I take this deal? Maybe get Deangelo instead of Bell? |
