hehhe I am having a very bad month so far but have been very unsettled so far which is nice to know and hopefully I can turn this around right quick.

Anyone want to help me setup and install PostgresSQL for my PokerTracker. Everytime, I have tired to do so I have been unsuccessful. I have followed the guides from the PT forums to the "T" and have had no luck and also end w/ errors that no one else on those forums are having.

I'll offer some $$ on stars or some coaching for a microstakes player who helps me.

Im looking for someone who really knows what they are doing, not someone who "just thinks" they can help.

I'm running a Vista machine, w/ a few failed attempts at setting up PostgresSQL before..

I had problems when I first installed postgres with Vista.

There's some sort of glitch with Vista and I think you have to change one of the settings to get it to work.

Let me search my old posts real quick...

Try this:

I was able to get PostgreSQL to install fine once I disabled the UAC.

Start menu > Control Panel > User Accounts

Click on the "Turn user account control on or off" link.

Uncheck the "Use user account control to help protect your computer" box.

Click OK.

Restart the computer.

Install PostgreSQL now.

After it's done, turn the UAC back on by doing the same steps above except this time check the "Use user account control...." box and restarting the computer.
