I like most shortstackers. They are the worst players and many are just shortstacking because they are afraid of losing too much. It's a little irritating when they hit-n-run, but I don't care that much. I make good money off of them in general.

There are a few shortstackers I see who are decent and probably make decent money, but may well make more if they bought in full. There's one shortstacker I know who absolutely kills because I seem to be the only one who understands what he's doing.

I have always been confused why seemingly smart people have such problems with short stackers. Like why are we so mad? B/c poker sites could raise minimum stack requirements and we'd get less action from bad players?

Shortstackers are easy to beat, however they are really [censored] annoying even if they are "part of the game"
I hate people who short stack HU and hit and run.
FD,
I disagree with your 100bb thing.
I could not beat any cash game online, but I feel I could shortstack pretty much any cash game online profitably.

I don't mind the short stackers that buy in short to control their loses. It's true, they suck. They usually play loose, which is obviously not a good strategy with a short stack.

I don't have a problem, per se, with the good short stackers either. It's a valid strategy. I do have a huge problem with ratholing. If you want to short stack, double up and leave the table fine. But, you should not be able to double up, leave the table, come back moments later with a short stack again. That, is just unethical.

Also, at party there are more and more short stackers every day. Ones that are doing it as a strategy, and not just to control loses. They still suck, but they are running the risk of ruining the games.

If everyone is buying in for 20BBs, where's the fun? Where's the challenge? It becomes in more robotic than the end game of a sng. Just shove shove shove, without any interesting payout or chip distribution considerations.

I really enjoy cash because it is preflop, flop, turn and river poker. You have a lot a maneouverability to outplay your opponents. If more than half the table is play less than 50BBs deep, this aspect is lost and poker would really suck.
