Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
I just traded Jay Cutler and Marvin Harrison for Tony Romo.
My other WR's are: Donald Driver Brandon Marshall Santonio Holmes Ronald Curry FWIW the player I traded with also has Tom Brady, but I still feel like I stole Romo. |

Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
Okay...I got an interesting offer today and I want to run it by you guys to see what you all think...
Here is my team: QB Tom Brady QB Matt Hasselbeck WR Steve Smith WR Bernard Berrian WR Javon Walker WR Santana Moss WR Ronald Curry RB Frank Gore RB Brian Westbrook RB Thomas Jones RB Fred Taylor RB DeAngelo Williams TE Alge Crumpler K Matt Stover DEF Green Bay This is an 8 team league with a standard scoring system and I was offered Tory Holt and Larry Johnson for Tom Brady. Do I pull the trigger here and gamble a bit on Hasselbeck? Or do I just stick with what I have? |

Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
stick with brady. no reason to think lj or holt will perform better than your current alternatives. and certainly not enough to make up for brady whos ceiling is as high as any fantasy player ever.

Agreed stick with Brady. STL is has no line or QB now so Holt isnt as strong and your starting backs seem solid why would you give up possibly the number one QB?

Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
QB Romo
RB Maroney RB Benson WR Boldin WR Housh WR Braylon Flex Lendale QBBench Delhomme RBBench K. Watson/Buckhalter/Graham/Stecker WRBench James Jones I was just offered Thomas Jones for Braylon. This would leave me ultra-thin at WR and super-stacked at RB. Is this too much value to pass up? In the mean time, I'm looking to deal one of my RBs to make this deal work. Which of Lendale, Maroney, Benson should I be trying to deal and what kind of WR can I get for them at this point? |

pben, u start 3wr correct? is so, thats a super bad trade for you. esp since boldin is hurt.
if not, its still poor imo. i think braylon is worth more than tjones. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'd only pull this deal if I could get another WR. I'm looking into getting Coles or buying Evans low right now. The consensus on this board was that Braylon has hit peak value. Do you not agree with that? |

[ QUOTE ] I give up S. Smith and I get Palmer. My starting recievers after that would be Braylon Edwards and Galloway. My QB right now is McNabb but he has a bye. So do I screw the trade and start Eli for this week or take the trade? [/ QUOTE ] palmer+galloway > mcnabb+smith? i think so. also, you could prly unload mcnabb for decent value. [/ QUOTE ] I also have Braylon Edwards. I also offered the guy Smith+Henry for Ronnie Brown+Fitzgerald and he said he would think about it. I'm trying to figure out who else to add on to that trade so I can get Palmer as well. |

Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
Ugh, I have a surplus of good RBs but my QB's have been lackluster or terrible for the most part (Cutler, Rivers, Bulger). What QB's can I realistically target that won't be an utter ripoff? My backs are Parker, Westbrook, Peterson (MIN), Portis and Barber III.

Re: *** Official Fantasy Football Adds-Drops/Trades/Misc Thread : SEPT
You can probably target Hassleback relatively cheap. Maybe Favre as well without giving up too much
