This is good to know. Ive been looking for a decent digital camera as well. Wyoming mountains are pretty spectacular and all I have is a fun saver. Ive seen 7 megapixel cameras for about $150 or so. Sadly there is no decent electronic store here and I'm living out of a hotel. Walmart it is [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I think I'll get a cheaper one for the $150 range until I have money for one that allows external lenses.

Bilge, that Ken Rockwell link above has a ton of good info on lenses and cameras. He has a lot of info on Nikons and is starting to get more info on Cannons.

As far as pixels go, all the stuff I've taken has been with a 6.1mp camera, D70S, and have printed it to like 15"x10" and they've looked great.
