I don't think anybody has a problem with the flop, it's the turn that people worry about. I like his explanation though if has a read. If there is a place to semi-bluff re-raise in limit hold'em, it would be in that spot against someone who will free showdown raise.

Here is a spot where I would have raised the river if the guy wasn't a calling station and I had a hand like K high:

9 handed or so
i raise pf and get 3 cold callers, blinds fold.
everyone flops a set except me - I just flop an open ender. I bet/cap the flop, check the turn (oop), see the river for one bet.

I only finished up like 1BB today after almost 500 hands..but I think I was more proud of that session than really any other. I got down 30BB real fast and never lost my cool and just battled back. Beats were just sick though haha
