Just to keep it consistent, I don't really like that play call unless you are planning on going for it on fourth and a few there (which Bellotti wouldn't do). It seems like getting 10 yards or so is a very likely outcome on that play since Stewart runs into the secondary and gets stopped there a lot of the time. I think we have a better shot passing or having Dixon scramble there.

Well [censored]. Of all the plays I have seen so far, that is the only one where I am thinking "that loses a football game".

I'm curious what the win probability change is if he gets stopped fourth and 4 there. I would guess it's 5 percent or so, which for one effort at the end of a run is huge.

Well at least for the first time this season since Nebraska, USC isn't playing like complete [censored].

Still some time left though, if USC gets a quickish TD, who knows.

I think USC has a good shot to get the 14 points but don't see how they can keep Oregon from scoring again. They could benefit though if Oregon shifts to a slow down let the clock run out strategy.

USC defense is playing fantastic. They're holding Stewart under 5 yards per carry, ditto for Dixon, and only giving up 6.8 yards per pass attempt. You can't really do any better than that when this offense is clicking on all cylinders the way it is today. If only we'd played like this against Cal...
