This is my first try at posting a pic so I hope it works. Mostly 100. A bit of 200 at the end. |

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread April
[ QUOTE ]
welcome to ssnl. I like your 2p2 sn. Also just a general question to 2p2ers in ssnl, why do we want to move up in stakes constantly? I feel like I could make $400+ per day grinding 1-2 NL yet the second I get to 50 BI's for 1-2 NL the first thing that enters my head is "all right time for a shot at 2-4!" I know that if I tried playing 2-4 full time I'd prob be a 2-3 ptbb/100 winner at most with where my game is at right now, and the variance would rape me. So the question is, if the money is so good at 1-2, and 2-4 would be stressful and probably not as profitable, then why do I feel the itch to move up so badly? What are you all's thoughts on this matter? [/ QUOTE ] Personally Im playing a mix of 200nl and 400nl at the same time. Typically Ill have 4 200nl and 2 400nl tables open, or 3 and 3, and just pick the best 400 games I can find. The level of play at 400nl is noticeably higher than that at 200nl so this improves your own skills and you win much more at 200nl. Win, win really. Unless you suck/run bad at 400nl then you lose, but whatever. |

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread April
I watched Taylor first video on cardrunners playing NL600 on UB. All the players were really horrible.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] dude pd, check that turn on the second hand. [/ QUOTE ] so true! lol, too bad my mind doesn't work well all the time. [/ QUOTE ] I bet here 100% of the time, but I am very likely wrong here. Why check behind? Clearly the guy is a massive donk so it seems like we don't want to let any cards fall that could possibly kill our action. No matter what he has, he doesn't have very many outs usually, so giving a free card obviously isn't the concern. [/ QUOTE ] vs. this oppponent, shoving the turn is fine for value. but you have imperfect information and you can truly know that this guy is THAT bad before or during the hand is played. (well maybe you do, but there wasnt any clarification). against more sane opponents, they will rarely if ever call with worse on the turn. |
