The sombre gray attire and the serious visages of the Rivan people mask the passionate spirits and great capacity for laughter that is innate to all the members of the Alorn race.

Even in these trying times, the assembled Rivans managed some moments of relaxation and joking, trying to forget, however briefly, that Baby Geran is still missing. However, the tragic death of sighing brought an end to any trace of good spirit they had remaining.

And Shortline99's escape of almost certain doom inspired not relief, but further trepidation. The gentlemen and ladies of Riva eyed him cautiously, but feared to approach too close.

At last, they came to the business of the day. By vote of the assembled personages, amplify was found guilty of Conspiracy to Kidnap the Heir to the Rivan Throne. He was sentenced to death, unless he revealed the babe's location.

Amplify died still protesting his innocence. Lady Polgara used her arts to question his shade.

He was an ordinary Follower of Light.

A great evil moves through the world, and the fate of all the races of men depends upon the circumstances. The Isle of the Winds can not remain closed.

It is time to move the Knights of Arendia on behalf of the forces of Light. Arendia is the country of the people of the god Chaldan. Arendia is a country of great valor and great injustice. The Knights are the greatest warriors in the world, but the institution of serfdom still stubbornly persists, possibly due to the feuding duchies which keep the focus on besting each other rather than improving the lot of their citizens. The people of Arendia are formal and florid in their speech and conduct.

King Belgarion and his lovely Queen Ce'Nedra move quietly among the gathered Arendish nobility. Queen Ce'Nedra smiles and makes gracious conversation. She accepts the graceful curtseys of the ladies of the Arend court, and the extravagant devotion of the Arendish Knights with a serene expression and even some courtly flirting with her favorite Knight, Sir Mandorallen. Sir Mandorallen was mourns the loss of amplify, his boyhood chum and quest companion, but bravely devotes himself to making Ce'Nedra smile.

Still a cloud of despair surrounds her. The people of Arendia, long on emotion and all-too-often, short on thought, flock to the tragic tiny tragic queen. The ever-embattled Asturians and Mimbrates make common cause with each other, vowing to set aside their differences to restore the Rivan Heir.

One among the Royal Rivan party was almost overlooked. He preferred the stables to the vast dining hall, and the company of one or two people to the vast throngs of courtiers. This Alorn was deceptively simple in appearance and manner, but giving hints of his potential power to those with the eye to see them.

Someone saw them. This morning, Queen Ce'Nedra finally fell apart when the mournful-faced Knights brought her the broken body of traz, known to Ce'Nedra and Garion as Eriond, the Heir to the Prophecy of Light.

It is now

Day.

Rereading Traz's posts he basically had a hard on for bluff all of day 1. Traz was a good player kill, but it does make me want to take a better look at bluff.

bluff for now.
