Nat,

While I haven't commented at all about the AP scandal I have

followed every thread. I'm greatly appreciative of the

great detective work you, adanthar, and many others have

done. I'm in shock that people are upset over you receiving

compensation for your CR trip especially after the countless

hours you have put in catching these scumbags and keeping us

informed. I will gladly ship 500 to you on Stars to go

toward travel expenses, bodyguards, or CR escorts if you

plan on going. Although I have never met or even talked to

you I have read for years about how good of a guy you are

and am 100% confident in your integrity. So if you could

post your Stars name if your planning on going and I will

ship to you and hopefully others will do the same.

I think it's clear from the (early) poll results that a silent overwhelming majority would love it if Nat/adanthar/snagglepuss were able to go down.

Nat_-

I think you should go, and I think you should take AP's money. You have received a lot of very poor advice from some very short sighted individuals on this board. Any one foolish enough to think that you are going to sell this thing down the river for a few bucks hasn't been paying attention. You should go, and you should take every penny AP is offering, and you should report back here candidly, as I'm sure you will.

By the way, haters, who do you think pays for required audits?. Do you think GA is uncompensated?

By the way, are the haters planning on reaching in their pockets to pay for his time and expenses?

By the way, haters, would you rather we get our direct AP reporting from the Justin West, who literally couldn't identify the cheating in this case until AFTER AP admitted it, or the young lovely that had her picture taken on AJ Green's lap? Is that who you want on the frontlines?

These are your choices.

Please Go, take the money, and find out as much as you can.

To the guy who makes $300+ an hour, and who said $5000 + expenses isn't fair compensation, that's equivalent to 250K/year. That covers something like 95% of professional salaries. If Nat's time is worth far more than that, and it's such an imposition, then perhaps he should ask AP to invite someone else. Taking a large payment, with talk of non disclosure agreements, is pretty much f'ed up IMO.

LOL at thinking that professionals, particularly entrepreneurial types not partners in a large firm, actually bill and collect 2000 hours a year.

Seriously, Nat/adanthar/snaggle - take the money. Go to Costa Rica. Report back. Hell, I'd go for $200/hr + expenses except none of you know me and so I have no 2+2 street cred.

While I realize that this will anger the "burn AP to the ground" crowd, has anybody stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, not EVERYBODY at AP (or online poker rooms, in general) is an unethical, dishonest, criminal? Isn't it quite possible that many of the higher-ups in the company were fooled just as badly as AP customers by POTRIPPER and friends and that they are simply guilty of being blind?

I'm not saying that the big shots at AP aren't covering things up, as they very well may be, but it is frustrating to me that people automatically assume that everyone who is involved in the operation of an online poker room (especially one that is not PokerStars) is a crook.

I completely understand the opinion that AP is just inviting Nat down as a sort of publicity stunt so that they can feed him the information that they want to be made public. But with very, very few exceptions, nobody here knows who exactly it was who extended the invitation to Nat. While it could very well be someone who simply wants to get Nat to report that AP is doing everything correctly from here on out, it realistically could also be someone who honestly had no knowledge of the cheating, was not involved in the initial denials, and legitimately wants to get everything cleaned up, even if it means that AP looks even worse in the short run.

Again, I'm not saying that AP isn't just trying to pull the rug over everyone's eyes, but I also think it's silly to automatically assume that everyone who works for an online gambling company that is not based in the U.S. is an unethical savage.

Alternatively, Nat could be part of a rogue splinter group at AP that enlisted the cheaters, outed them, and "investigated" the improprieties to earn the trust of the poker community, all to get the executives fired so that they could install their own regime.

Hi Nat,

I just wanted to add my thoughts and thanks for your hard work.

IMHO you should be a little bit careful with regards to who you claim to represent . The 'poker community' is partially retarded and has too diverse a range of opinions to ever be truly represented (eg there is no consensus about whether AP should be finished or survive). If you dont claim to be representing the community then you might find this a bit less stressful situation. Do as you see fit, then it is up to the individuals in the poker community to come to their own conclusions about your trip report. Your report will be one part of the jigsaw from which people will decide AP's fate by voting with their $$$.

I personally think it would be a good thing for you to go, and i thank you in advance for embarking on a project where there is no guarantee of finding anything new. You are doing something for the greater good. You will get negativity whatever the outcome of the trip but i'm sure it will be outweighed by good karma for you in the future.
