[ QUOTE ] (Unfortunately, todays scores don't mean as much.) [/ QUOTE ] Explain this please. [/ QUOTE ] Scores more than 15 years ago were more closely related to that of traditional IQ tests... they have since changed the test... There used to be more problem solving/critical thinking and not as much "did you learn how to do long division in high school" questions. |

Re: Who are the smartest OOTERS?

tl;dr... but Im in with a 1400 SAT, 35 ACT, and IQ scores ranging from 155-165, and we're talking legit, not these stupid online ones everyone quotes to feel smart. |

Re: Who are the smartest OOTERS?
SAT: 1490 in 2003, 760 math/730 verbal. IQ - not sure, but around 140. I suck at school, though.

Re: Who are the smartest OOTERS?
1590 SATs (took in 1998)
800 on two of the three sections of the GRE (didn't get 800 on English because I didn't know the vocab words) Also, when I took the entrance exam for the specialized high schools in NYC (ended up going to Stuy) out of the tens of thousands (I think?) who took it, I got the 13th highest score. Actually, tied for 13th with one other guy. Never taken an IQ test. |

So where did you take this IQ test? Was it professionally administered? [/ QUOTE ] The 147 was, but I don't remember where. It was over 10 years ago. The 131 was a recent online test (nothing official) at highiqsociety.org and I gave it a half-assed effort. |

Re: Who are the smartest OOTERS?
Incedentally, could someone with IQ testing expertise check out the tests on www.highiqsociety.org ? Others without expertise, try the eCMA test (if you have time to waste) and rattle off some scores.

The IQ score doest matter if you dont know what test you took, since different tests use different amounts of SD in their scales. What matters is knowing your percentile. |

Re: Who are the smartest OOTERS?
bobby,
The bit about being 13th probably makes you a definite contender. People who have >1400 SATs are smart, but people who have things like semifinalist in the intel competition, ~1560+ SAT, or some sort of top few out of a group that has many smart people in it are the VERY smart ones. FWIW I scored 3880/4000 on SAT I M/V and SAT II W/Ph/MIIC, but doubt I'm even top 25. |
