I've been trying to just say "nice play" recently

I go off from time to time, although I've gotten much better...Most of the time i just give a sarcastic "nice play" or "nice read". It helps when you're playing within your bankroll. Now I'm rolled for 200 sit & go's, so bad beats don't hurt as much as they did when I was playing a little above my emotional/physical BR.

Yeah, my bad habit is typing LOL when some idiot calls an allin or REraises me with something ridiculous (like A5s) and he goes busto. I shouldn't tap the glass, but not really sure if typing LOL is going to keep the fish from playing, but it does show a lack of class on my part.

[/ QUOTE ]

Guilty of typing LOL too. AAHHHH!!! Temper and sense of humor are out of control!!!

If you have to say something, use irony. "Nice call." "Nice hand." "Good read."

No you don't mean it, but they don't know that. And it also reinforces the bad behavior, which is what we want.

And when you really flip out, go with ";alskdjfa;sldkfjas;dlkfjasd;flkjasf;lkasjf;laskjf as;lkdfj." It makes me feel beter.

turn off chat!

[/ QUOTE ]

IMO this is not a good idea. There are times you can pick up on things by paying attention to the chat.

Yeah, I agree with this, but I would caveat this by saying that I'm sure there are some players who would benefit by having chat turned off (especially if you have a volatile temperament or tilt easily).

I agree, but I am also guilty of this sometimes. Usually, I am so tilted that I am the fish when this has happened, so I'm tapping the glass from the inside...lol
