Why can't he have 44, AK, just as much as AA, KK here?
The only hand in your range that beats those hand is exactly what you hold given pf.

[/ QUOTE ]

does a 12% pfr raise 44 utg?

also what tagfish plays top 2 this hard for 500 bb's???? seems like most tags with AK are worried about sets and nit up when theyre just 2-300 bb's deep

we have an underepped set and you want to fold...

[/ QUOTE ]

How in the hell is our hand under-repped?

[/ QUOTE ]

ppl are linear thinkers, they put us on two pair alot...

this isn't a fold...

ssnl makes my head hurt sometimes...

[/ QUOTE ]

it makes my head hurt a lot too, but come on, fairly nitty players don't really shove in 400bbs on the river with anything that can't beat a set on this board. if you want to say it's a call then you could definitely be right, but if you want to say "it's such an easy call you guys are stupid for saying you might fold" then you are definitely wrong.

I take it all back, I think Ikes was right all along. Hero only has 480 behind at the end, so he's getting ~2.5:1. Even in the worst of scenarios I can come up with, that makes this a call:

Results from http:\\www.HoldEmRanger.com
2,376 evaluations, 54 hole card combos

Board: 4d 8s Kh As

Wins Ties Equity
28.81% 0.00% 28.81% ( 88 )
71.19% 0.00% 71.19% ( KK+ AK(10) 44(50) )

i would stack off when i didn't have to be right 30% of the time to make it a proper call. the amt of bb question is dumb

This is AA/KK/44 ...and I think it is 25 spades before I'd think that a player like this plays AK this strong this deep.

noooooo, this is the worse case scenario. ppl don't fold top two or sets on this board... ever.

pokerstove really really doesn't apply that great here because the frequency in which he plays AA/KK like this is virtually 100% (like if he has those hands he's playing it like this), but the frequency he plays AKs/AKo/44 like this is very different, and stove doesn't weight the ranges at all.

I'm curious why you would say something like "the amount of BBs at play doesn't matter, it just matters what % I have to be correct" since surely you can concede that the amount of BBs at play will change the percent of times you're ahead since tight'ish players are much more conservative with 550bbs than they are with 100bbs.

this is such an easy call i think you guys are stupid for saying it might be a fold!

nah, seriously, it looks like a fold to me cuz given description throughout thread, it seems pretty unlikely he has AK. MAYBE 44, but again, im not sure a 13% pfr raises this utg- in limit he likely doesnt, but obviously this is not limit! assuming he could have only 44 kk or aa, then what is our play? i would guess it's a pretty easy fold, but i am too lazy to use p stove!
