Also, dont where you play JK, but alot of Cbury dealers read 2p2. The ones that do are usually the best in the room, bc they are very sensitive to player concerns since it affects their bottom line, so maybe a change will occur just by your posting this.

Although jeffnc may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, I'll lay the odds and put my money on him anyway.

I would be happy to get some side action on that. So what kind of odds were you offering.

THIS is the part that bothers me!

The Doctor in Seat 3 can say it.
The Baker in Seat 7 can say it.
The Mechanic in Seat 9 can say it.

But if the Dealer says it, you have a problem with it. That just doesn't make any sense to me. I understand that it happens--I just don't understand why it does.

Because random player doesn't carry the weight of Authority. Dealers are supposed to be impartial arbiters of play. Editorializing about a player destroys that perception of impartiality. It isn't the dealer's job to do other player's scouting reports for them.

Why aren't umpires and referees ever interviewed at the end of a game?

I am a dealer in Ny and I never comment on how a table is playing .If I would say its loose or tight I could be insulting players on my table . I just greet the player and say if I knew I would not be dealing I get a laugh out of the whole table and go back to dealing . My job is game security and to push pots . I have been in the casino buisness for 14 years Craps dealer , Box Person , and a casino host , And now a poker dealer why better schedule more time off . But with all the jobs I learned 1 thing people are winning and losing ,dealers should just be friendly and stay out of any hands or conversations . Just control the game . As far as reading a hand I have done it a few times and it was only when the player would say to me guess what I had and thats it. Im there to make money not enemies . Dealers should never critique play

The dealer shouldn't comment on the play period. The dealers in these hands are probably poker players who can't make a living playing and want to show off their knowledge.

The AK hand is not as bad as the others, as it what part of a conversation initiated by someone else, rather than gratuitiously showing off their knowledge.

This is not as bad as commenting on a hand in progress, which is against the rules for players also. One time I started to fold thinking I was UTG, but I was BB. Flop comes AAK,r. Dealer comments that flop didn't hit me. When I said something to him, he replied that his comment was obvious. Of course I could have had an ace or king.
