No. I went to a guy to talk about my issues with motivation, he suggested doing stuff. I was like "WHAT THE [censored] IF I COULD JUST DO STUFF I WOULDN'T BE TALKING TO YOU". [/ QUOTE ] helps if they're not mouthbreathers some are surprisingly smart |

Re: Anyone go to a psychologist and it actually help them?
I decided to try it a couple months ago because I knew my head wasn't right for poker (50NL is serious business). I'm really surprised at how much it helps, but from talking to other people it seems like I got pretty lucky with my psychologist.

My step-sister to-be is very mentally ill, and being on the side of everything it seems that, in poker terms, the variance in therapist selection is sick. Some are absolutely fantastic, and others are totally awful.
I'm actually trying to get one for the main purpose of increasing my winrate. If he/she can help me stop and prevent tilt, then it seems like a +EV investment. |

Been to a few, and most of them are terrible.
I went to one for like three weeks, she looked at me and said "I can't help you." Logically, I quit seeing her. I ran into her a few months later and she asked why I quit seeing her. |
