God declaring, "Haha, the whole science of biology is just a trick I played on you guys! Aren't I cool?"

[/ QUOTE ]

When you accept myths like evolution and require no evidence exactly who's playing the trick? What God actually declares is "In the beginning ... etc." Where's the trick? In your own mind and heart, maybe?

* If phylogenetic trees independently inferred from morphology and molecular sequences did not match.

I did a thread on this a while back. Made no impression at all. Which is why I think evolution is non-falsifiable.

Would you endulge me with just a little elaboration here notready?

On the actual point at hand, (For a layman) but the bit I'm more intriuged by is your comment, 'Which is why I think evolution is non-falsifiable', and how that relates to the former.

Just a few words, if that's possible to achieve.

"Logic and evidence don't matter. God can't exist. Evolution must be true. Don't confuse me with the facts."

You were given more examples than just this one. What about those? I am sure an even longer list could be generated if you wanted. You can go on thinking that evolution is non-falsifiable (we know you will!) but you have not given a good reason for it and appear to be willfully ignoring some things being presented.

you can use this argument after you convince him that he requires no evidence. until then, i don't see what good you think it does.

if god intentionally made the world "look like" evolution happened when it didn't, it doesn't automatically make it the case that god actually declared "in the beginning, etc."

Christianity is falsifiable. Produce the bones of Christ.

[/ QUOTE ]
Seriously? If the bones of Jesus were somehow found and confirmed as such, that would be enough evidence for you that he wasn't divine? Even for a non-theist, this doesn't make any sense. Jesus could have easily done and been all the things you claim of him, even if he didn't ascend directly into heaven, no?

He didn't. Man made evolution in his own image.

Where are you getting this from? Of course evidence matters. Of course God *can* exist. Evolution does *not* have to be true.

After all this time you should be above grafting your unfounded prejudices about atheism onto anyone who doesn't agree with you.
