Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
I'm in Australia so a little different but liquor stores/bars never card me (I'm 20), but clubs always do. I look about 20. Basically, places that hire people who give a [censored] tend to card more often.

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
[ QUOTE ]
I had been running good at not getting carded, but since I've lost weight, it's happened more, leading to some odd glances given that I'm some 110 lbs or more heavier on my ID. (only once has anybody had the guts to actually say something about it). [/ QUOTE ] That would probably make for a good fake id, just get some fat guys id and hardly anyone will call you out on looking different. |

I'm 38 and still get carded about 50% of the time if I'm clean shaven. Almost never when I'm scruffy.

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
[ QUOTE ]
The Mexican place in our town lost their license for 30-days after a sting operation (I think it was their third offense). Now they card everybody. My wife and I saw a little old gray-haired lady get refused a margarita because she didn't have her ID. I [censored] you not. [/ QUOTE ] The part of this story you're leaving out though, is that you can hand them an ID that says you're 15 and they'll still serve you. When I worked at a grocery store, I think they always said to ID anyone you thought was under 27. Eventually it just became a formality, and I bet I actually found the date on like 5% of the ID's that I "checked". 23 here, and if I go into a store that they don't know me, it's about 50/50 if I get ID'ed or not. |

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
[ QUOTE ]
I should also mention I got carded when I went to see Knocked Up. Yeah... there's really a chance I am 16. [/ QUOTE ] when i was 20, the popo stopped me (driving a golf cart - all you can drive there) and asked to see my id. he stopped me for 30+ minutes trying to get me to admit it was fake. It took me 15 minutes to realize he was serious and not kidding around. The only thing I can figure is he thought i was 15 and shouldn't have been driving? i asked him multiple times why would i have a fake 20 y.o. license, he said I dunno but i think its fake. bite me asshat. |

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
It's up to the establishment selling the booze. I turn 35 in a couple months. I got carded last Wednesday. I do not look underage.
If I owned a place that sold booze, I'd card every single [censored] that came in there unless they were known personally to me. |

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
I am 26 and I still get carded for [censored] rated-R movies, much less alcohol. I'm setting the o/u for when I stop getting carded for booze at 35.

Re: At what age do you not need to bring ID to buy alcohol?
The age you stop getting IDed is usually the age you realise you might as well just take your ID anyway.
