Phil's view (He hates Brandon's call too):

http://www.cardplayer.com/author/article/all/18/9337

...snip...
My $2,500 bet on the river was an excellent one. It forced Brandon to pay me off if he did have a pair lower than mine, like 6-6, or if he had A-K, or even A-10. The bet also served a defensive purpose: It froze Brandon! I hate his call on the end. Why not raise when you hit your miracle 7? I may have called a $10,000 or even a $15,000 raise.
...snip...

ugh youre so bad.

Todd acted after the guy called antonio. easy fold.

The other guy had TP OESD, the only hand he was drawing to a tie was KJ. Possible, but still in better shape against antonio's range than KQ.

This isnt really fair to Salario. Hes got more outs that Todd ifs hes behind Esfandiari and basically the same hand as Todd and didnt have Todds knowledge of seeing a bet and a call ahead of him.

Also someone said the Mouths was getting 3-1 to call with the 44 but I think it was closer to 5-1 which I thinks makes the call fine since he was only a 6-1 dog and could be against a draw or a small chance of todd having 72. He could also of course be against a set which would be terrible but I still think it was an alright call.

One last thing. WTF was Laak thinking when he layed down the gutshot and flush draw on the turn getting that price with money behind.

Let's face it....Hellmuth got beat! What was he supposed to write about????? His losing hand to BB? He could have been more gratious to the newcomer but he chose to "needle" him in both episodes. Brandon took his money in this one....I guess you want to be in his, what????.....grid????? Sounds like sour grapes to me. What a whiner!! I'm disappointed in the Pro!LMAO

I love your use of all punctiation marks. Question marks, periods, exclamation points, you do a good job of utilizing all of them excessively.

e) wtf at Brandon not raising trips there at the obvious blocking bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

because he's only get called/re-raised by something that hasw trip 7's dominated

[/ QUOTE ]

Hellmuth's bet is so insignificant that it's not much different if you think of it as a check. Are you saying you wouldn't bet trip sevens on the end if checked to? You probably get called by two pair and maybe top pair/overpair.
The whole reason blocking bets work is because of people like you that think they can't raise the river unless they have the near nuts.
