wow u are all so stupid [/ QUOTE ] you're right. michigan doing something no ranked team in history (let alone a top 5 team) should be stricken from the records, and an undefeated season from here on out against a very weak schedule should merit them a spot in the title game. sorry i was so stupid. |

Re: Brag: Lloyd Carr hopefully fired
Agree with everything BTYS has said in this thread (although I predict them out of the top 25). There is NO way that if they are 11-1 they would get a national title spot. This loss will haunt them the entire season.

omg they lost the first game of the season versus a bad team now they'll never make the bcs championship game youre right [/ QUOTE ] do you have any clue what goes into the BCS formula or do you really just not know a [censored] thing about college football? cuz seriously, you sound retarded facts: 1. michigan lost to a division 1-AA team (never been done by a ranked team) 2. michigan lost AT HOME 3. michigan has a weak schedule that will get weaker as wisconsin/notre dame/ohio state gets exposed 4. an 11-1 season will not save them |

Re: Brag: Lloyd Carr hopefully fired
[ QUOTE ]
michigan is better off losing to I-AA team than to a marginal I-A team. Today's fluke loss won't count for squat by season end, guaranteed. [/ QUOTE ] I should know better than to apply rational thought to sports fanatics, but God help me, I'm going to try. Two-thirds of the BCS score comes from human polls. In order to realistically put Michigan in the national title game, they would have to be at least #3 in both human polls and hope that the computers spazz out. There will probably be at least one undefeated team from a strong conference, likely USC. So now we're down one spot. After that there will be maybe five other one-loss teams. Some will come from conferences like the Big 12 or the SEC, and face stronger competition in their wins. Their loss will be against I-A opposition. Are you telling me that Michigan gets in ahead of, say, a Texas team with a loss against Oklahoma, or an LSU team with one loss against Florida? The only way I can possibly see Michigan get into the national title game is for them to be one of only two one-loss teams in the BCS conferences. That simply does not happen. |

Re: Brag: Lloyd Carr hopefully fired
Fact: a team losing their home season opener to a 1-AA team will not lose less than two more games.

omg they lost the first game of the season versus a bad team now they'll never make the bcs championship game youre right [/ QUOTE ] Yes, they will bever make the bcs championship game. They lost to a D1AA team at HOME. At the end of the season, if they are 11-1, teams will go well LSU lost to florida and so on, and then they will go Michigan lost to App. St. There is no chance that they make the national title game. People aren't gonna just pretend this game didn't happen, it was a historic upset, and a choke job of mythical proportions by Michigan. Even true Michigan fans will admit that this loss is an insane choke job. |
