Have you ever contemplated suicide

I have before. When it's bad it will be like a solid week where it won't leave my mind. I just try to keep myself busy until it all passes over.

I'm very personally familiar with that attitude. Get rid of it and face your life. It can be terrifying, and it might not work out well, but so what? If that doesn't go well, you can just kill yourself.

Sorry. Bad joke. What I mean to say is that giving yourself a shot at real happiness is really really really worth it. If you're young, you could have a LONG life ahead of you. Chances are, you have a good shot at taking some short term measures to form better habits, and improve your life circumstances. This can create a snowball effect [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] on your motivation, and your abilities. gogogo

Sorry. I know this post might seem next to worthless to someone who is deeply depressed. Depressed people can't just "snap out of it". I dunno if that applies to you or not. I don't mean to sound condescending. I'm not. I'm just talking at you as though you were a version of myself. I have a lot of compassion for depressed people.

i was very ill with no treatment in sight. i was having hallucinations (brain infection) and was in pain (heart infection). Some nights I could only think about if it would be easier to just end it

No, not once.

I do remember having this conversation with a close friend once. Basically it was a "under what circumstance would you kill yourself" topic. I reasoned if I was falsely accused of a crime and sent to prison for life...I would most likely end it all.

I dont think I have ever been really depressed in my life. Maybe when I was in the military I was kinda depressed at times.
