Re: Horse Porn? Seriously? (Elaine content!!)
[ QUOTE ]
I find Elaine's adamant hostility towards people who refer to her by her husband's name to be very interesting. Technically of course Miller is not her name, but to call her 'Mrs. Miller' hardly seems like the sort of thing that would provoke more than, at most, a simple, cheerful correction. Why does this perfectly harmless social convention make her so angry? [/ QUOTE ] Do you really not grasp why this would piss somebody who is so dedicated to being an agressive feminist off? This is perhaps the most legit of her many, many beefs. |

Re: Horse Porn? Seriously? (Elaine content!!)
all,
mason explained why the review was removed in the books forum. basically, because it was the object of such controversy he notified Amazon that it was written by one of the author's wives and requested it be removed. he also reportedly told them, "but really, i just hate elaine." |

[/ QUOTE ] i think you are right if people knew about her beliefs in advance. if you are a stranger meeting her for the first time she is being culturally intolerant (if she is rude about the whole thing that is). which to me seems to contradict a lot of her ideologies. |

Re: Horse Porn? Seriously? (Elaine content!!)
I heard mason offered up the souls of 10,000 slaughtered cats in exchange for the removal of the review.

On the other hand, she might genuinely like the guy, but stirring up all this trouble with his now ex-employer is hardly a smart way to show it. |
