Ohhh, so there will still be profits and it won't be free? I'm so shocked Michael Moore would twist words and misconstrue something like that.

[/ QUOTE ]

What words are being twisted??? You talked about a non-profit --- if you think that means "nobody can earn a living" or "workers cannot be paid wages" I think you don't know what a non-profit is (or what "profit" is for that matter.)

Maybe "non-profit" is another tough word like "greedy."

[/ QUOTE ]

No, it's just as simple. Doctors will still be making "profits". And healthcare won't be "free."

As I suspected, you don't know what a non-profit is. Just curious if a non-profit organization pays their janitor a salary, is it no-longer a non-profit because the janitor is making a profit???

Fine, I'll concede that if you address the other 3 or 4 points I've made that you've flat out ignored. Explain how healthcare will be "free." If doctors still get paid, and medical supplies still cost money, how is it free? Who's paying for it?

He in fact, desires wealth, in excess.

[/ QUOTE ]

Once more, for the final time (I hope) EXCESS MODIFIES DESIRE NOT WEALTH in the definition of greedy. That someone has excess wealth does not mean that they have excess desire. You can have NO WEALTH and still be greedy if you have an excess desire.

So you're saying I can't show what Michael Moore desires, right? Thus he can't show what all the people he calls "greedy" desire either? Like I said, you can't have it both ways. But you conveniently continue to snip that part of the quote out.

You can't let Michael Moore use his twisted definition of greedy on other people but then jump all over me when I use his version against himself.

No, I'm saying that you haven't shown that he has excess desire. Maybe you can, maybe you can't. I have no idea if you have it in you (I have my suspicions, though.)

When has he done that. I don't want to put words in his mouth (nor get too close to his mouth in general, I might lose a finger) --- I suspect he would say that one way to demonstrate an excessive desire for wealth is if someone does intentionally does bad things to people for the purpose of growing their wealth (i.e. their desire for wealth overshadows a healthy moral compass.) Thus, he might argue that closing plants in Flint, MI while simultaneously giving yourself a raise suggests greed. Turning down insurance coverage in the hopes of getting otherwise viable claims to give up in order to increase profits suggests greed.

Oh, why didn't you say so! I consider socialist policies to "overshadow a healthy moral compass." Moore spreads socialist policy ideas in exchange for a lot of money. Sweet, I've demonstrated greed. gg.

Intentionally obtuse and off the mark by about a quarer mile, but this is still probably the best argument you've made in this thread.

So is this insult your final word on the debate? There's still about 3 things you completely ignored several times, all by accident I'm sure. But it was fun talking with you. Have a nice day.

Which arguments are those:

People will be paid a wage/salary therefore it's not a "non-profit"?

Michael Moore is greedy because he advocates socialism?

That he isn't charitable because he doesn't publicize his charitable giving (if any)?

Which of your arguments did you want me to reply to???
