Yeah, I guess I'm not progressive enough to accept it. It's not even within the realm of consideration on any scale when contemplating a relationship.

Could you live with the guy (I guess we'll call him the main guy) and still date/sex other guys? I mean if it's just a situation where you talk on the phone some and hook up with him when he's in town, then I can see it-because to me that is not a serious relationship and therefore non-binding on either party.

I think finding someone who you connect with on an emotional "serious" level is difficult enough without the additional strain of one party needing to be constantly validated by others. You mentioned your desire to be flirtatious overrides your desire to commit, but also said you are older and sex is not the driving force. So basically, the guys you date but don't have "relationships" with can't have any expectations of sex, commitment? You're simply offering dinner companion/friendship?

If this is the direction "relationships" are going, I'll have to pass.

Edit: I reread this and it sounded a lot more sarcastic and condescending than I meant. Not my intention. I am really curious as to the above questions.
